Over the bridge

Bicentennial Campground

Over the Golden Gate Bridge.

Once I get back on Highway 101, I will need to decide which route to take.

Follow 1 or go inland and catch 97 up to Klamath Falls and middle of Oregon.

Pretty much leaning toward Highway 1.

So about the bridge.

It is a bridge!

What more can I say.

Cold, windy and foggy.

Seperate sides for cyclists and pedestrians.

All the cars and trucks in the middle.

Am I glad to be across the bridge?

Yes!

And glad to be in a more quiet spot tonight.

Almost to the point of sensory overload.

There are only two other campers here tonight.

Must say something about the tunnel I went through.

Tom Lantos Tunnels.

Great tunnels.

Clean.

Well lit.

And cyclists get the whole right lane to themselves.

A couple dicey parts of the road.

All-in-all a great ride today.
