Let God!

July 3, 2017

Been a few days since I have posted here on the blog.

Been relaxing.

Breathing.

Reviewing.

Questioning.

Talking.

Reassesing.

Planning.

Mapping.

All those and more.

Mostly, I have totally been enjoying being with Mark and Cyndi.

Family is awesome!

Need to say something here.

Relationships are for why we were created.

With God.

With others.

Be careful of letting the world control your relationships.

Let God.

Love the relationships the Lord brings into your life.

Love love.

Do not wait until you have raised children, semi-retired, grown old, or...

Before you love.

Learn early to love.

The only thing worse than waiting on and loving God and others is wishing you had.

Do not wait.

I will leave those thoughts with you all.

Back to what I was saying.

It is certainly what I needed.

We were eating a salad at Panera Bakery at Tempe Market Place and Cyndi said "You are shaking your head."

Just seemed so right being here for these eight or nine days.

Catching up.

Being off the bike for a stretch.

Getting my skin healed up from the wind and heat over this first leg of the ride.

Decompressing a bit.

Planning to meet with the Karchers who we knew from our time in PNG on Thursday night.

I have a route planned to San Diego.

Will take me a bit south by southwest down to Interstate 8.

I hope and pray to stay a few days in the San Diego area seeing relatives not seen in I do not know how many years.

Way to many, to say the least!

I ordered two new tires for the front of the recumbent.

Two extra tubes.

And a package of powdered rehydration/electrolyte renewing drink.

Oh, and thank you Art for giving to help me purchase a three liter/100 ounce water bladder.

I will lay it on top of the back rack for extra water.

I also want to share with you the distance I have come thus far on this ride for missions.

1541 miles to Flagstaff.

I left May 27th.

Five days, if I recall correctly, were zero days.

No pedalling days.

Thirty-two days of being on the road.

Twenty-seven pedalling.

Nine passes/summits gone over.

Six states travelled through.

Countless revolutions of the wheels and cranks of the pedals.

All for people.

To help missions.

For freedom and life.

For Love.

Shalom,

D.
