New Day

July 14, 2017

A new day.

More opportunities to share about life.

Love.

Forgiveness.

Grace.

Mercy.

Let's make the most of all the Lord has lavished on us from the Father.

I will basically be traveling Hwy 78 the next few days.

Hope to go fifty or so this day.

Continue to joy in your journey,

D.

--------------------

Thirty-five miles from Julian.

Sixty-three miles of pedalling through a barren landscape.

Three camelbacks drank down.

And two orange juices at second breakfast.

Gonna be glad to get to Julian.

Even more so to Oceanside!

Will update the blog later.

That's all for now folks.

Thanks for riding along.

Remember how much Jesus loves you!

-----------------

When I came through the checkpoint at  the intersection of 78/86 where the border patrol check station is, I pulled off to take a rest and get out of the sun.

Was quite hot.

A couple of the men at the station walked over and asked if I needed anything.

Offered me some cold water.

Emptied out the water bag of the hot water and filled it with cold.

And one of the water bottles that was empty.

Took a picture of the sign saying the distance to the next towns.

Pedaled till around six or so.

Even though not recommended or suggested, I slept off the road.

No problems.
