Day 9
June 4 2017
Rest day.
So enjoyed soaking in the hot springs this morning.
Will go back again this evening for more.
On mountain time now.
Not sure if that will change once I pass through Montana and enter Idaho again.
It has felt so good to hydrate, eat a good meal, shave, shower, rest...
I know I pushed myself to the far end of the spectrum on what my body could tolerate.
I drank six water bottles full yesterday.
The problem is that I think I was already becoming dehydrated from the dsy before.
Was having a hard time keeping my mouth moist with what saliva I was producing.
I will be getting two more water bottles before long.
Can never have enough water!
Lewiston to Lolo Hot Springs is 205 miles.
As hard, long, and difficult all those miles were to pedal I would choose this route again.
The scenery.
The people.
Lots of talking and praying as I rode along the road.
Some people I have met have called me amazing.
No.
You want to know who is amazing?
God.
Jesus.
The Holy Spirit.
Those three are totally off the charts amazing and awesome!
So thankful I have them as traveling companions.
An interesting fact to share with you all.
My two nights of tenting, two wonderfully satisfying meals, an all day pass to the hot springs, all combined, are less than one nights lodging in the cabins they rent here.
I'd say I got the better of the deal!
93 is thirty or so miles away.
Tomorrow takes me that direction and then south towards Hamilton MT.
There is a nice bike path for most of the way.
Looking forward to it.
And the cherry on top is that all the way to Lolo is mostly downhill.
Woohoo!
Continue to joy in the journey,
D.
Next time I see a DQ will make sure I have some ice cream as Michelle asked!
