Rain

June 12 2017

Still at the MacKay campground on the shores of the reservoir.

Waiting out the inclement weather.

Seems last few days have all been about waiting.

Which honestly has been good for me.

Been hiding out in the tent for a couple days now.

Lots of time to think.

And ponder.

Rains can refresh.

Help crops grow.

Rain can have a force to erode the ground and wash nutrients away.

Rain can fill up ponds, lakes, streams bring its life giving power to our bodies.

In the Word of God rains are talked about a lot.

The rains of the flood.

The time when outran the rainstorm.

When it comes down to it, it is all about perspective.

I choose to see my waiting out this storm as a means of refreshing and challenging me to lean into the Lord more.

Is it an inconvenience?

Maybe.

More than anything, the storm, the rain, is a blessing from God.

I choose to embrace and be grateful for the rain.

Continue to joy in the journey,

Even in the rain!
