June 22, 2017
A bit of a late start today.
Crossed over into Utah about 6.45.
Newcastle for lunch.
Still not enough liquid!
The food is staying down.
For the most part.
A little rebellion now and then!
Right after lunch, Highway 56, milepost 32 to 43 is uphill.
The summit is a bit misleading.
Was excited to finally make it and was thinking about the downhill ride.
Come around the corner and what did I see?
Another hill.
Chuckled.
After that hill it was a great downhill ride.
Ten miles from Cedar City, the road leveled out.
Feeling washed out and exhausted.
Drank all the water I had and a couple liters more from a local store.
I feel as if I am running out of energy.
Yet, at the same time, I will continue on.
I said I would and I will.
All with the power of the Holy Spirit.
With the Word of God as my written guide.
I finally did make it to Cedar Falls, Utah.
Feeling quite exhausted when I finally stopped.
Still praying for one hundred people to join me on this journey.
As much as I wanted to camp, the situation required a cooler setting.
So I got a room for the night.
We will see how I feel in the morning.
Nose kept blooding on and off this evening.
It was hard to breathe on some of the long hills.
And coughing up some green gunk along the way.
All-in-all a very joyous day.
Been thinking about this ride.
How God has opened up this door for ministry.
The fact that I get to ride my bike around this part of the country, talking, sharing, learning from others...
What a joy to serve God.
At the same time raise finances for ministry in India and Papua New Guinea.
Enough for this day!
Love in Christ to you all!
D.
